Census 2010 is almost upon us! And you deserve to be counted. In mid-March you will receive your Census form and must be mailed back by April 1st. You will be pleased to know that this has been dubbed as “the shortest Census form in history and of course ALL information provided is kept strictly confidential.
Why do you need to be counted?
Approximately $1,400 per person, per year over the next 10 years will be allocated to our community. It is these funds that enable us to build and maintain safer roads, provide for better public transportation, increased educational opportunities, and greater community-based services. Not to mention, this data also identifies where the jobs and assistance programs are most needed. If that wasn’t enough, the number of people in our community also dictates how many seats our state has in the U.S. House of Representatives. The more people counted…the more representation we have!
